Grand Lolita Tea Party in Hamburg - 20th June

Hey everyone,

it has been a long time since my last post and I'm sooo sorry, but finally I found some time to write a post about the Tea Party in Hamburg.

When I first heard about it, I was super excited because there has never been any lolita event which was hosted by a foreign organisation, so I just had to go! Thank god, I had a friend in Hamburg, so I didn't need a hotel. I bought a standard ticket and honestly, I was so happy that I did not spend a ridiculous amount of money on a VIP ticket. It wasn't really worth it.

I also applied for the fashion show but I didn't got accepted - at first.

A few days before the tea party, my friend Mimi messaged me about my height and my body measurements, because they were still looking for models and she thought about me since they needed a S-size model. So in the end, I could take part in the fashion show. I wore a super awesome gothic coord by Krad Lanrete which you'll see later on.

I got Friday off from work, and started my loong journey (I guess I was sitting in the bus for 7,5 hs?!) to Hamburg. I've been there before in like 2008.
In the evening, my friend Miriam and I went though Hamburg. She showed me some places and we also took some cute purikura! I love them!

This was the building where the tea party took place!

We also had some vegan Asian food at Loving Hut. It was so tasty and I wished there were more restaurants like this. I only payed 10,50€ for the meal.

So on Saturday morning I traveled to the city center. The models were told to come at 9 am, so I was there on time... like the other ones, and the organizer, John wasn't there. He cam later, so I had no idea what to do. I got my dress later on and it still wasn't clear if we have to change or not. After sitting around and writing postcards to my family and my boyfriend, we had to put on the outfits for the fashion show. We should rehearse the walk, but... it wasn't decided how we should pose yet. So they started discussing for a long time, how we should work, where we should pose and so on. I was super annoyed, because this could have been planned before. But well.
The good thing about being a model was, that we were already inside and could take a look at the dealers items. I thought about getting a pink parasol by metamorphose, but I had to find out that they only had one in each color, so the one I wanted was sold out after I decided to buy later.
Actually, I couldn't really find anything I needed to buy. There were a lot of things like dresses, blouses and jewelry but none of it was like "BUY ME!" except for some dress, but I just had no 300€ with me that day so I couldn't buy it. In the end I bought some cute meta socks and a poster of Misako Aoki which she signed for me.

Here are the photos of the "shopping area". xD

And here you can see the room. In the middle, there were the seats and the catwalk and on the right and left you could find the different brands.

When it comes to the location, I don't think it was suitable. It was okay for a fashion show, but not for the rest. The light was too dark and the chairs for the non-VIP visitors were too close to each other so it was difficult to get back to your seat with a huge petti. In the picture you only see the chairs for the people with VIP tickets. The normal guests had to sit in three chair-rows.

It was Misakos birthday a few days ago so they gave her a huge cake. We could eat a piece of it too and it was very delicious. And necessary when you see the actual food we got offered.

Sorry for the bad lightning but this was the food we got offered. You can see that there's almost nothing left, which means, many lolitas didn't got any! Some of the food was vegetarian, which is a pro, but actually it wasn't enough. We didn't have and tables or chairs to eat at either. We were walking along this table, taking some food, eating it, taking the next small plate and so on. I didn't like it at all. Horrible! I want to enjoy my food, even if it's just small pieces. When it comes to drinks, they didn't offer any tea! AT A TEA PARTY! I was disappointed. Everyone got two vouchers for drinks and afterwards, we had to pay. This was unacceptable as well. But okay... I took along my own bottle of water.

I didn't talk about the event itself. In my opinion it was quite boring. The fashion show was the most interesting thing actually, not only because I took part in it.
There was no brochure about the program or the timing so we didn't know if we could go outside to take photos or if we'd miss something important. The raffle took very long and at first they forgot to put the raffle tickets into the goodie bags! So they had to give everyone a ticket before they could start.
There was also a Q&A panel, but I could hardly understand anything while sitting at my seat, because the room was long...
More over they didn't have a German translator. I'm pretty fluent in English but this might have been a problem for other ones who didn't understand English that well. So it was difficult for some people to notice what was happening next.
All in all, it was pretty unorganized, and not very professional. The food wasn't enough, I missed my tea and there should have been a brochure about the program. I've also missed the autograph session which was announced (I just asked Misako by myself if she'd like to sign my poster).

But still, I had a lot of fun with my friends and it was great seeing them again.
The best part about it all was after the event. A friend and I went to a restaurant called Alex, where we met a lot of other lolitas who went there a short time earlier than us. We were sitting at a long table, talking eating and drinking. Seriously I spend more money on food in Hamburg than on lolita stuff at the event. xD

Here's my alcohol free cocktail, haha. :D

And here are some photos which were taken at the fashion show and afterwards by some awesome photographers. Please visit their facebook which is linked below the photo! ♥

Here's another photo of my coord for the fashion show:

And here are the items I bought... the poster and the meta socks. :D

And here's the best photo I got. I got a selfie with Misako Aoki! She's so pretty! ♥

I really hope you liked that post! Please keep supporting me! ♥

See you soon, yours,

Comments I get a lot (lolita, vegetarianism, body)

Hello everyone!

Today I want to talk about questions or comments I get a lot. I'm really sick of hearing them online as well as offline, so I just want to make some things clear and state my opinion towards these things!

1. But only children wear pink, unicorns and frilly things!

Who said that? And why do people even say that some things aren't accurate for a certain age? You're saying that my style is childish and that I shouldn't wear that, while local stores sell heels shoes for 5-year-old children or T-Shirts with the print "Boys are toys" for 9-year-old! In my opinion it's way worse for children to wear stuff like this, than my fashion style. Why I think it's worse? Kids on high heels look ridiculous and the ones who wear such shirts don't even understand what's written on them. Of course, everyone can wear what they want, just as much as I want to wear my frilly dresses, but some people have to think about what they're actually saying.

2. Why do you pay 300€ for a dress?

Because I like it? I think it's worth the money. I save for months until I can finally purchase such a dress, which makes it to something special. When it arrives, I'm happy, I put it on, I create a coord, I don't want to put it simply into my closet. Other people spend their money on alcohol, expensive adidas or nike shoes, Luis Vuitton handbags... so why shouldn't I spend mine on dresses?

3. Why do you travel so much just for a concert/convention?

This question was asked by a former classmate some years ago when I was still at school. I traveled 4 hours by car to see one of my favorite bands. I do it, because I want to see them live. I love concerts, I love music, and I love meeting people who like the same music as I do. So I spend the money on the journey. She was like "Why don't you go to a concert near your hometown?" Well, because my bands don't play in small towns, only in bigger cities. That's why. She even asked me to like another band who actually plays in smaller towns in my area. That's ridiculous.

4. But meat tastes good!

Yes, it does. Of course. I liked meat a lot. But I don't eat it anymore despite I liked the taste. Why? Because I don't want to eat anything where an animal had to be killed for. You can ask other vegetarians and they will say the same: It's not that I dislike the taste, I dislike the killing-animals fact.

5. Why do you eat tofu in the shape of meat which also tastes like meat when you don't want to eat meat?

For the same reason as stated above. I like the taste. Some tofu stuff tastes like usual meat but no animal was killed for producing it. That's great isn't it?

6. Meat is healthy, being vegetarian is unhealthy!

Dead wrong. Please don't say things like that when you never informed yourself about vegetarian food. What's important about meat are the nutrients inside, not the meat itself, and they can be found in other plants as well! Such as soy, beans, peas, lentils... There's a variety of meals you can cook without meat. And more over, you can eat unhealthy as a meat eater as well as a vegetarian!

7. Vegetarians are always so annoying and want to make us meat-eaters look like criminals!

Just because some narrow-minded people are stupid enough to want to persuade you to became vegetarian too, doesn't mean everyone is like that. People like them get more attention than people who don't talk about it. You can eat what you want, I don't care, but once you tell me stupid things like the ones above, I have to tell you my opinion about that. But still I don't want to persuade anyone, I just want to say the facts. So, no vegetarian jokes please. ;)

8. You're so skinny, you're looking anorexic!

Please. Stop. This.
Anorexia is an illness, not a look! Or are you telling a bald man, he looks "canceric"? No? Okay, so then, don't tell someone he looks anorexic just because they're skinny. You don't know their story, you don't know why their body is like that. Not everyone who's skinny, had a diet or an eating disorder. There are people who are naturally thin, believe me or not!
To me it's a huge insult, because you're trying to know myself better than I do know myself.

9. You're skinny, you should eat more!

Just as I stated above, you don't know why I'm skinny. And I fucking know that I'm skinny! You have no idea how I eat, what I eat and why I am like that.
Just as an explication. There's something called metabolism and heritage. My metabolism is fast though I don't do a lot of sports (I'm lazy ass xD), which means I can eat as much as I want without putting on weight. And no, that's not always a good thing! More over due heritage, I don't gain weight easily as well. My parents were like that in their past too.
I'm already eating a lot, but I just don't put on weight. Live with that.
And stop stupid jokes and comments about that. Thanks.

This was basically everything which came to my mind.
Maybe I'll do a "stereotypes about lolitas" or something similar somewhen in the future. :D

My first Dokomi! ♥

Hi everyone!

Finally I had the chance to attend Dokomi in Düsseldorf at 23rd May! Düsseldorf is right at the other side of Germany, so my journey started in the evening of Friday in Leipzig. We (my boyfriend traveled with me) took the coach to Düsseldorf over night, which meant, we arrived in Düsseldorf at 7am on Saturday. This was super exhausting because I can hardly sleep in a bus (or car or plane or any moving transport, haha xD), so I slept only about two hours.
At the train station of Düsseldorf I changed my cloths and headed over to the convention venue.
In the morning we rehearsed for the Japanese fashion show in the afternoon. Some people I knew took part in it too, but I was too stupid to notice that, haha. I just cannot remember faces. xD

The con itself was great! The area was huge, so it wasn't crowded at all and we could easily pass the others and walk though the rooms. The dealer's area was vast and I could hardly decide where to go to first.
But what I liked the most was that Dokomi also had a separate fashion area, where only jewelry and clothing was sold. This was where I met Pastelbat and SuperLoversRock. Two of my biggest inspirations when it comes to fashion! Both were super nice and friendly and sooo cute! ♥ I'm the happiest girl in the world now, haha.

I bought three bracelets and a ring from Eyecandy and I'll do a review on the items later!

I also met a lot of friends there and I was really happy about that because I usually never come to the west of Germany aka the area of Düsseldorf. Finally, I was able to meet Aiji-Yasha Hime! She's so pretty and cute omg. ;w;

(my hand looks so huge omg xD)

I also took a photo with Sui Princess who is a huge inspiration in Gyaru and Hima fashion to me! She's so pretty!

My friend Kohaku Sato took some great photos in the garden outside of the convention venue. Visit her DeviantArt please! :D

At the end of the day, there was the concert of Machigerita. I really love his voice and at the autograph session I told him that his voice reminds me of Gackt and he was quite happy about that since he's a huge fan of him too. :D I could also take a photo with him!

And here's a photo of my haul. :D

The signed CD of Machigerita, three bracelets from Eyecandy, a unicorn ring from Eyecandy, a tiny Arpacasso, a small Arpacasso, a small Nemuneko (which was actually bought by my boyfriend) and deco tape!
I always wanted Deco Tape btw. xD

In the late evening we went back to Leipzig by bus again (another over night trip) and we could sleep soo much better! Because we were super exhausted. I just woke up in the middle of the night because my boyfriend was suddenly lying on my lap with his head, haha. In Leipzig we had breakfast and went back to my place afterwards. I fell asleep on the train and when he woke me up I was so confused and was like "Why are we in Chemnitz? What are we doing here?" Haha... we had to change trains. xD As soon as we reached my flat, we went back to sleep, haha.

But it was totally worth it! I really loved it at Dokomi and I hope I can come back next year!

So, that's everything for now. I guess that was my longest blogpost, haha.
Did anyone of you went to Dokomi? :3

MiZacKo in Zwickau

Hello my cute readers!

From 16th to 17th May there was the first convention in my hometown Zwickau! It was a really important weekend for me, because the con was hosted by my Anime & Manga Club which I'm a member of since their first meet-up. My boyfriend and I help with preparing the venue in the morning so it was really exhausting. We had to get up at 6 am both days and I was sooo tired. ;___;
Our club hosts events like six times each year and usually around 60 people attend our meet ups. Sometimes less. So I expected a similar number of guests. But when I went to the front door, I saw so many people I've never seen before waiting to get in and it was only 9:30 am! (It started at 10) I never thought that so many people would come to our con but it was amazing!
The visitors were mostly between an age of 12 and 16 (at least I thought so because I saw a lot of young fangirls of the German YouTubers Applewar Pictures, haha)

I didn't take any pictures at the con, because I was busy helping. :(

But here are some pictures our photographer took of me!
I've worn Symphonia of Birds! I so love this coord. ♥

And this photo was taken by a friend. :D I was sitting there in the hallway to check if everything is alright and to help if someone has a problem or a question. :D

Our local newspaper also wrote an article about our con but it's in German. :D

My Lolita journey!

Hi everyone!

Today I'm gonna show you every Lolita coord I ever created. It's not a lot, but I still think it's worth sharing.

July 2013

This was my first Lolita coord ever. I wore it at my final prom and bought the JSK and the blouse directly at the Btssb store in San Francisco. I'm glad that I've been waiting so long until I got my first dress, because that's why I never thought that Milanoo was a good place to get a Lolita dress from. To be honest I clicked through Milanoo before, when I wasn't that much into Lolita and actually liked the things. This was back then in like 2010 I think. Maybe they were better at that time? I can't remember, haha.
The second photo was taken at Connichi in Kassel and is actually one of the best photos someone has ever taken!

Blouse: Baby, the Stars shine bright
Headbow: Offbrand
Shoes: Bodyline
OTKs: Bodyline
Wig: eBay

August 2013

A super simple and spontaneous coord. I really liked the skirt but I didn't own pink shoes back then so I borrowed the blue ones from my younger sister. It was a cute outfit but I sold the skirt in 2014 since I didn't really like it anymore.

February 2014

My Hime Lolita coord. <3 I got a lot of compliments on this coord which made me really happy. And it's all Bodyline! Yep, actually I dislike most of the Bodyline prints (just a personal taste), but for dresses without any print, I still like bodyline. The dress I actually wanted was sold out so I purchased that one and I'm so in love with this coord. One of my faves, tho I don't wear it at the moment. :D

Parasol: from my friend Mashiro

August 2014

I purchased this dress second hand from a lovely seller on facebook. The print was very cute so I thought I could buy another bodyline dress. In the end, I didn't like myself in it... I have no idea why, maybe it was the cut or the shade of pink... So I ended up selling it along with the skirt mentioned above.

October 2014

Unfortunately I don't have any good photo of this coord yet. I need a photo shoot. ;w; The seller of this dress was a pain in the a**. It took over a month to bring it to her post office and ship it from the USA. During those weeks, she ignored my messages and didn't bother telling me where my dress was. I already won the Paypal claim when the dress finally arrived. I wasn't the only one who got almost scammed by this lazy shipper...
The photo was taken in March 2015 btw.

December 2014

My dream dress! I was the happiest girl in the world when I got my ultimate dream dress. Actually I wanted the OP but the JSK was fine too. Maybe I'll get the OP later. It's my first Angelic Pretty dress and I'm so in love with it. ♥ In the right picture I didn't have my golden shoes yet.

March 2015

I'm still waiting for the photos of this coord. My second Angelic Pretty dress and I got it for a very good price! I love the dress so much!

This is already the end of my timeline. I hope you liked my photos. I don't know if I'll buy a new dress anytime soon, since I'm saving a lot of money for my Japan trip next year. It's difficult to stay away from the sales, but it'll be worth it, I'm sure! ;w;

See you soon! ♥

Yours,
Kanon
