My first Dokomi! ♥

Hi everyone!

Finally I had the chance to attend Dokomi in Düsseldorf at 23rd May! Düsseldorf is right at the other side of Germany, so my journey started in the evening of Friday in Leipzig. We (my boyfriend traveled with me) took the coach to Düsseldorf over night, which meant, we arrived in Düsseldorf at 7am on Saturday. This was super exhausting because I can hardly sleep in a bus (or car or plane or any moving transport, haha xD), so I slept only about two hours.
At the train station of Düsseldorf I changed my cloths and headed over to the convention venue.
In the morning we rehearsed for the Japanese fashion show in the afternoon. Some people I knew took part in it too, but I was too stupid to notice that, haha. I just cannot remember faces. xD

The con itself was great! The area was huge, so it wasn't crowded at all and we could easily pass the others and walk though the rooms. The dealer's area was vast and I could hardly decide where to go to first.
But what I liked the most was that Dokomi also had a separate fashion area, where only jewelry and clothing was sold. This was where I met Pastelbat and SuperLoversRock. Two of my biggest inspirations when it comes to fashion! Both were super nice and friendly and sooo cute! ♥ I'm the happiest girl in the world now, haha.

I bought three bracelets and a ring from Eyecandy and I'll do a review on the items later!

I also met a lot of friends there and I was really happy about that because I usually never come to the west of Germany aka the area of Düsseldorf. Finally, I was able to meet Aiji-Yasha Hime! She's so pretty and cute omg. ;w;

(my hand looks so huge omg xD)

I also took a photo with Sui Princess who is a huge inspiration in Gyaru and Hima fashion to me! She's so pretty!

My friend Kohaku Sato took some great photos in the garden outside of the convention venue. Visit her DeviantArt please! :D

At the end of the day, there was the concert of Machigerita. I really love his voice and at the autograph session I told him that his voice reminds me of Gackt and he was quite happy about that since he's a huge fan of him too. :D I could also take a photo with him!

And here's a photo of my haul. :D

The signed CD of Machigerita, three bracelets from Eyecandy, a unicorn ring from Eyecandy, a tiny Arpacasso, a small Arpacasso, a small Nemuneko (which was actually bought by my boyfriend) and deco tape!
I always wanted Deco Tape btw. xD

In the late evening we went back to Leipzig by bus again (another over night trip) and we could sleep soo much better! Because we were super exhausted. I just woke up in the middle of the night because my boyfriend was suddenly lying on my lap with his head, haha. In Leipzig we had breakfast and went back to my place afterwards. I fell asleep on the train and when he woke me up I was so confused and was like "Why are we in Chemnitz? What are we doing here?" Haha... we had to change trains. xD As soon as we reached my flat, we went back to sleep, haha.

But it was totally worth it! I really loved it at Dokomi and I hope I can come back next year!

So, that's everything for now. I guess that was my longest blogpost, haha.
Did anyone of you went to Dokomi? :3

MiZacKo in Zwickau

Hello my cute readers!

From 16th to 17th May there was the first convention in my hometown Zwickau! It was a really important weekend for me, because the con was hosted by my Anime & Manga Club which I'm a member of since their first meet-up. My boyfriend and I help with preparing the venue in the morning so it was really exhausting. We had to get up at 6 am both days and I was sooo tired. ;___;
Our club hosts events like six times each year and usually around 60 people attend our meet ups. Sometimes less. So I expected a similar number of guests. But when I went to the front door, I saw so many people I've never seen before waiting to get in and it was only 9:30 am! (It started at 10) I never thought that so many people would come to our con but it was amazing!
The visitors were mostly between an age of 12 and 16 (at least I thought so because I saw a lot of young fangirls of the German YouTubers Applewar Pictures, haha)

I didn't take any pictures at the con, because I was busy helping. :(

But here are some pictures our photographer took of me!
I've worn Symphonia of Birds! I so love this coord. ♥

And this photo was taken by a friend. :D I was sitting there in the hallway to check if everything is alright and to help if someone has a problem or a question. :D

Our local newspaper also wrote an article about our con but it's in German. :D

My Lolita journey!

Hi everyone!

Today I'm gonna show you every Lolita coord I ever created. It's not a lot, but I still think it's worth sharing.

July 2013

This was my first Lolita coord ever. I wore it at my final prom and bought the JSK and the blouse directly at the Btssb store in San Francisco. I'm glad that I've been waiting so long until I got my first dress, because that's why I never thought that Milanoo was a good place to get a Lolita dress from. To be honest I clicked through Milanoo before, when I wasn't that much into Lolita and actually liked the things. This was back then in like 2010 I think. Maybe they were better at that time? I can't remember, haha.
The second photo was taken at Connichi in Kassel and is actually one of the best photos someone has ever taken!

Blouse: Baby, the Stars shine bright
Headbow: Offbrand
Shoes: Bodyline
OTKs: Bodyline
Wig: eBay

August 2013

A super simple and spontaneous coord. I really liked the skirt but I didn't own pink shoes back then so I borrowed the blue ones from my younger sister. It was a cute outfit but I sold the skirt in 2014 since I didn't really like it anymore.

February 2014

My Hime Lolita coord. <3 I got a lot of compliments on this coord which made me really happy. And it's all Bodyline! Yep, actually I dislike most of the Bodyline prints (just a personal taste), but for dresses without any print, I still like bodyline. The dress I actually wanted was sold out so I purchased that one and I'm so in love with this coord. One of my faves, tho I don't wear it at the moment. :D

August 2014

I purchased this dress second hand from a lovely seller on facebook. The print was very cute so I thought I could buy another bodyline dress. In the end, I didn't like myself in it... I have no idea why, maybe it was the cut or the shade of pink... So I ended up selling it along with the skirt mentioned above.

October 2014

Unfortunately I don't have any good photo of this coord yet. I need a photo shoot. ;w; The seller of this dress was a pain in the a**. It took over a month to bring it to her post office and ship it from the USA. During those weeks, she ignored my messages and didn't bother telling me where my dress was. I already won the Paypal claim when the dress finally arrived. I wasn't the only one who got almost scammed by this lazy shipper...
The photo was taken in March 2015 btw.

December 2014

My dream dress! I was the happiest girl in the world when I got my ultimate dream dress. Actually I wanted the OP but the JSK was fine too. Maybe I'll get the OP later. It's my first Angelic Pretty dress and I'm so in love with it. ♥ In the right picture I didn't have my golden shoes yet.

March 2015

I'm still waiting for the photos of this coord. My second Angelic Pretty dress and I got it for a very good price! I love the dress so much!

This is already the end of my timeline. I hope you liked my photos. I don't know if I'll buy a new dress anytime soon, since I'm saving a lot of money for my Japan trip next year. It's difficult to stay away from the sales, but it'll be worth it, I'm sure! ;w;

See you soon! ♥

Seifuku photos! (^o^)/

Hello everyone!

I finally got the photos my friend Tiffany took at DeDeCo in February. Yes, it has been a while but for some reason I haven't received them earlier... But now they're here and I'm gonna show them to you. I'm quite satisfied with many ones, but I still think I should practice posing. >< And my legs are looking so strange and super skinny, I have no idea how to make them look more "normal". Any ideas? ;w; Aaaand I can't smile... I knew it before. xD

What do you think? ;w;

The next post is gonna be a Lolita timeline! And maybe cosplay too! <3

See you soon. ♥

Kanon

How I got into Lolita fashion!

Hello everyone!

Today I'd like to talk about on how I got into Lolita fashion. ♥

I got to know the fashion long before I started wearing it. It was in Primary School when I started being interested in Japanese culture and anime, because I watched Sailor Moon daily on TV. But I wasn't that kinda child who watched anime all day long, I only watched Sailor Moon, just saying. That's why I have no real clue about Dragonball, Inu Yasha and Naruto. :'D I also started learning Japanese by myself around that time.

In 2009 (I was in grade 9 back then), I went to a city festival of my town where Cinema Bizarre, a German Visual Kei band, performed. On that day I realized that they weren't as bad as I thought and remembered one of my former penpals who once told me about An Cafe. So the next day I spent on YouTube, searching for Japanese music and came across An Cafe, LM.C, Miyavi and the GazettE as well as many other groups. This was when I started wearing Visual Kei, Decora and Oshare Kei. I also discovered Lolita fashion but I never thought about buying dresses because I just couldn't effort it. J-Rock was my life and I got to know awesome people because of it. I also started reading Manga.
Here's a photo of my Oshare-Decora-Kei-Whatever Mix outfit. :D

Photo taken in June 2012

In 2011 I went to the Book Fair in Leipzig for the first time with my friends. I was wearing an Oshare Kei Misa Misa outfit and saw so many beautiful Lolitas. But still I had no chance to buy an outfit.

Sorry for the bad quality, but this was my first outfit for the Book Fair in Leipzig 2011. :D

The same year, in October I went to the USA with my family. We visited New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In San Francisco I visited the Angelic Pretty and Baby the Stars shine bright shop. When I entered the Btssb shop, I was super amazed by their dresses and the outfits the shop assistants were wearing. At that very moment I knew, my final prom dress has to be a Lolita dress! I wanted to wear one of these beautiful coords at my final prom!

The next year, in 2012 we went to San Francisco again, and I could chose my final prom dress. I decided for the Sweet Jewelry Princess JSK in black and a matching blouse in pink. And I already knew that this wasn't my last dress. I loved how I looked in the dress, and it just felt "right". Do you know this when you're in the changing room, trying on a piece of clothing and you think "Yes, this is it!"? That was how I felt and still feel when I'm dressing up. I wanted to wear pastels, frilly dresses and petticoats. When I looked into my mirror, I saw myself and not just a person who dressed up in Lolita.
A few months later, I ordered from Bodyline with a friend, so I got my shoes, bag and socks from there and my first coord was ready to be shown at the prom in summer. I got my wig from eBay but I didn't wear it at the prom because it was "too much".

Here's a photo from the final prom in 2013:

Somehow I hate the lightning in photos because it always eats my make up. >-<

My classmates already knew that I wouldn't wear a normal prom dress, haha. Since I was wearing Decora or Oshare Kei everyday for school, no one really wondered. Of course they were looking at my because I was wearing "such" an outfit, but I was fine with that. I also remember the words of my history teacher who came to me and said, that she really loved my dress. She was so happy that I wasn't wearing a normal prom dress and that I was continuing to wear my own style even at my final prom. Actually I don't have to say that she was my favorite teacher all the time. :D

Basically this was how I got into Lolita fashion and my very first coord. You can see that it has only been 3 years since I got my first dress.
Here's my first coord with the wig I ordered:

I took it in London, summer 2013.

I hope you liked my post~ ♥ The next post is gonna be a kinda Lolita outfit timeline, where I'm posting all my outfits until now! I don't have a lot but I think it's still worth sharing.

Yours,
Kanon.
